The Manor, Pinelands in Cape Town, is one of the Cape Peninsula Organisation for the Aged (CPOA) retirement venues. In 2016 an annexe building was constructed as a specialised frail care wing. The brief that Design Monarchy received from Mrs Paulse, the Chief Procurement Officer for CPOA, was to source, select, present, procurement and installation, of all the soft furnishing finishes, fabrics and art for the lounge and dining room.
CPOA put a great deal of emphasis on meeting the needs of their residents and as such the interior styling of their recent upgrades, is geared not only towards being functional, but aesthetically appealing as well. As specialists in the Retirement field, CPOA seeks to create an interior environment for their senior residents that embody both that sense of “home” held within an ambience of relaxed, comfortable luxury.
As always with each interior upgrade that we undertake with Mrs Paulse, she had a very specific colour palette in mind – soft lilac and gentle aqua / mint tones. The interior look and feel that she wanted to attain in this particular venue was a light, fresh and happy ambience.
It is very satisfying to look at the images of The Manor because we can say with outright satisfaction that as Design Monarchy, Marica and I fulfilled our brief fully and professionally.
